GoTV Signs Mobile Advertising Partnerships

gotv_logo.gifGoTV Networks, the first multi-platform new media networks, has announced strategic mobile advertising partnerships with three of the industry’s leading companies: Millennial Media, digital SIDEBAR and Ad Infuse.

GoTV develops original programming delivered direct to broadband and mobile platforms. The company’s core programming is centered around a family of music channels. Programming includes news, interviews, music videos, performances and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage – with much of it updated daily.

GoTV Productions, the company’s wholly-owned production studio, develops over 200 shows segments per month, ranging from 2.5 to 4 minutes per segment.

GoTV believes that over the long term, subscription content will transition to an advertising-supported model. This announcement is one step in preparing for this market opportunity. Fueling the shift are unlimited data plans, 3G networks and large format 3G handsets, all of which enable the consumer to enjoy new mobile services including premium video content as offered by GoTV.

The three parts of the announcement are:

  • GoTV will continue it’s partnership with Millenial Media to deliver ads onto the company’s mobile internet sites, which include: Altitude (, ES Musica (, and Hip Hop Official (
  • Both Ad Infuse and Millenial Media will bring video advertisers to GoTV’s music channels.
  • To facilitate content discovery, subscription and viewership, GoTV has selected digital SIDEBAR for its innovative on-device interactive advertising platform.

Thomas Ellsworth, CEO of GoTV Networks, Inc. said “Mobile advertising continues to gain momentum and these partners are integral to GoTV’s strategy. Today the nascent signs of the inevitable market shift to ad-supported mobile content are coming into view.”

He continued, “We are particularly pleased by the strong initial results we have achieved. Our September and October 2008 mobile video inventory was quickly sold by Ad Infuse… These providers enable GoTV to immediately and significantly enhance the multi-platform syndication offering we currently provide to media owners, advertising agencies and brand partners seeking to bring their programming content to mobile and broadband.”
