Coca-Cola has extended its “Christmas on the Coke side of life” campaign into the mobile arena in Germany. Customers on Vodafone’s live! portal can download the song that is used on Coke’s TV commercials and use it as a ring-back* tone.
The marketing campaign is incorporated into Vodafone live! portal’s Christmas Special section, as well as prominent positioning in the mobile newsletter and in Vodafone’s billing supplements. The live! portal also has other information about Coke’s Christmas promotion, such as the locations where the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck will be stopping, e-Christmas cards to send and Coca-Cola wallpaper downloads.
Coca-Cola is well known for implementing innovative mobile advertising and marketing campaigns. “We’re delighted to be the first brand manufacturer cooperating with Vodafone in a ring-up tone campaign, and that we’ve been able to integrate it in our Christmas campaign. We’re also planning to take advantage of all the unique opportunities that this mobile channel presents for further innovative campaigns in the future,” said Prinz Pinakatt, Group Manager Interactive Marketing, Coca-Cola.
