I am part of a big group of .mobi investors and advocates. We have battled through many of the .com investors that did not believe or want .mobi to succeed. 2008 is already bringing a lot of exciting things to the mobile extension.

I was hopping that .mobi could have its own thread here. I am certainly happy to be aboard.

It is simple for any site to detect a mobile device and deliver the properly formatted page. There is no reason why a .com site can't do this and work properly on a mobile phone.

.mobi is the way people use to refer to mobile internet site. It is a very narrow minded way of thinking as .com really works to any kind of device.

see http://www.agamata.com

It is not the only example.

The most active forum I know about .mobi is this one www.mobility.mobi

Lots of people mostly from the web and not from the mobile world, but very interesting anyway

No offence but that's just plain rubbish.
Feel free to give it a try and prove me wrong.
But you won't.
