Daniel Entin, product manager of Internet and wireless at Zagat Survey, has been advertising the firm’s Zagat to Go wireless software guides on Greystripe‘s GameJump.com mobile site, using Greystripe’s AdWRAP full-screen mobile advertising program.

Entin was quoted as saying “Our average clickthrough rate is 4.3 percent, which is much higher than the typical 0.2 percent for an Internet banner ad.” He adds that “mobile advertising in general prequalifies someone who might be interested and able to download and purchase our mobile Zagat product.”

See Daniel’s blog on this project here.

Zagat, a worldwide provider of consumer survey-based leisure content, announced that that it will launch an ad-supported mobile website later this year. The site will feature restaurant information as well as nightlife content, and will cover all the cities that Zagat covers in the US and abroad.
