Aardman Animations , the leading British animation company that has created award winning films such as Wallace & Gromit and Angry Kid is increasing its activities in mobile by making some of its content available on operator 3’s ad-supported video service, which is operated by Rhythm NewMedia.

Aardman has already had success with short videos adapted to mobile such as “Angry Kid” which at its peak sold more than 10,000 video clips a day over mobile networks. The content that will become available using the ad-supported video model will be clips from “Creature Comforts”, “A Town Called Panic”, “Purple and Brown”, and “Morph”.

“Launching an ad-supported service is the next step in a strategy, which will continue Aardman’s leadership in mobile animation services,” said Robin Gladman, Digital Product Manager at Aardman Animations.

“Aardman really understands how to create compelling mobile content. This content will be a great addition to the line-up of comedy entertainment on the service,” said Nisha Malhan, Director Business Development in Rhythm’s London office.
