Celltick Secures Funding to Offer Managed Service

celltick.gifCelltick Technologies, known for its idle screen advertising solution, announced that it has received an additional $8.5M funding from its principal investors JVP and Amadeus. The funding is aimed at accelerating the delivery of its new mass reach mobile media strategy.

Celltick’s LiveScreenMedia platform which promotes content and brands over the idle-screen of the mobile phone, has had good success with over 25 operators globally including AIS (Thailand), Vodafone Essar (India), Beeline (Russia), Claro (Brazil) and Globe in the Philippines.

Under the new proposition, Celltick will evolve its business strategy from a license based model to focus on the mass distribution of its application, distributing unlimited licenses at no cost to mobile operators. Celltick has already provided operators with a managed service structure including Vodafone Essar’s FLASH! service in India.
