Branded Content And Creativity Take Center Stage At MIPTV

miptv_face.gifAt the end of March, the key players in the entertainment and advertising worlds will be heading to Cannes, France for the MIPTV conference, the world’s largest entertainment content event.

Over 150 of the biggest names in global TV and film entertainment, digital media and advertising will provide an up-to date perspective on the changes taking place in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.

This year there is an especially strong focus on creativity and advertising including the increasing role of mobile in media.


Now in its 47th year, MIPTV has always been the place where entertainment content owners come together. And the past several years have seen a rise in the level of participation at MIPTV from the advertising industry. This year is no exception, with several very interesting sessions that are relevant for the mobile marketing and advertising industry.

  • A session titled THE ROLE OF BRANDS IN STORYTELLING will cover how brands, agencies and producers could collaborate to capture the essence of a brand in a story that connects to an audience as well as integrating brand values.   • A Creative Summit – BRANDED ENTERTAINMENT & REINVENTING STORYTELLING, with Chuck Porter, Co-Chairman of Crispin Porter + Bogusky
  • A session titled MOBILITY & MARKETING 2.0, which looks at the latest mobile advertising applications that are revolutionizing mobile marketing. Speakers include Scott Seaborn, Head of Mobile Technologies, Ogilvy UK, John Stoneman, Head of Emea Sales, Nokia Interactive Advertising, and Peter Sells, Head of Mobile Development, BBH, moderated by Jim Cook, Editor of MobiAD News.
  • In another session called MOBILITY & POWER OF COMMUNITIES, Mitch Lazar of Connected Life Yahoo, Pascal Thomas of Orange, and Vince Staybl of mobile only social network ItsMy.com will go deep into latest business models and consumer behaviours around mobile social communities, including new advertising models.

Even though MIPTV has traditionally been a show for the TV industry, the latest digital media topics impacting broadcasting and advertising have been consistently covered with the participation of leading players.
