The Festival of Media is dedicated bringing together global marketers, media agencies and media vendors in an advertising industry that is undergoing many profound changes.
The Festival of Media provides a platform for debate and a place to explore new business relationships in a world of convergence, funded content and global deals.
In only its 3rd year since its triumphant launch in Venice, The Festival of Media 2009 will bring more than 40 sponsors and a truly global delegation.
The Festival of Media works with the industry to deliver a conference addressing the seismic changes sweeping through the industry caused by the advancement in digital technology and the changes in consumer media consumption.
Two of the most popular agenda sessions from previous years also return:
* “The Agency CEO Response” – The heads of all the major media agency networks take to the stage to deliver their insight on the tough year ahead and answer the tough questions. This year in an exciting new format.
* “Pioneering Communication Change” – Those in the vanguard of the digital revolution share their visions of the future of communication and the platforms and channels that will play pivotal roles.
In addition to the main conference agenda the Festival of Media is once again running its popular “Thought Leader Sessions” covering specific topics including:
* “Influencing the Influencers” – How to identify and reach those in society who have the most influence on the wider population. Featuring new research from MediaVest / Reuters / The New York Times.
* “Seriously Social” – The latest social media research in Universal McCann’s ‘Social Media Tracker’ series frames a journey into the social universe online and how to use it effectively.
* “Determining Media Value in a Recession” – A world tour of advertising spend and media price trends forms the basis of this session on media value and trading.
* “Digital Out of Home” – How the evolution of the out of home advertising industry is generating results for advertisers and creating new innovative communication opportunities.
* There are 12 Thought Leader Sessions to choose from across the two days of the Festival, with other topics covered including: Mobile, Video Advertising, TV, Performance Marketing, Talent & Skills and Recession Planning and Budgeting Strategies.
