eMarketer: mobile ad spending to grow 10x

emarketer.gifMobile advertising will become the key growth area for advertising, asserts research firm eMarketer. They recently released a study which predicts spending on mobile advertising will double from $410 million in 2006 to $878 million in 2007, and grow 10 fold to $5billion by 2011. The key to achieving this growth will be consumer acceptance of an exchange whereby they watch ads, but the content they receive becomes free of charge.
