Omar Hamoui, CEO and founder of AdMob has been included in AdAge magazine as one of the 40 best marketers under the age of 40. AdMob, founded less than 2 years ago, is the world’s leading mobile advertising marketeplace and serves over a billion ads a month.
AdAge said about the winners: “Unprecedented responsibility and bold decision-making characterize this year’s group of 40 Under 40 executives. They’re finding new ways to make the Web work, developing eco-friendly messages, fitting into lifestyle niches, and building on demographic and cultural connections as they reinvent media and marketing.”
“It’s an honor to be featured among so many outstanding peers in the marketing industry,” said Hamoui, “and we appreciate the attention AdAge has given our company.”
Hamoui is an entrepreneur with roots in the mobile industry. After founding and running several companies in mobile software and services, he became frustrated by the lack of available options for promoting and monetizing mobile products. Realizing that mobile service and content firms needed better ways to advertise and make money on the mobile Web, Hamoui began to think more seriously about the untapped potential of mobile advertising and created AdMob to address this growing opportunity.
