Volantis has today announced that Ad Infuse has selected Volantis’ Framework to help deliver mobile advertising. Ad Infuse ensures optimal relevance for every mobile subscriber by inserting targeted ads at the moment of content delivery, and Framework will help them take full advantage of the capabilities of each handset.
The large number of handset models in the market, and the wide range of capabilities they represent, has long been a fundamental problem for mobile advertising (and in fact for any mobile content). Advertisers often need to develop many variations of a single ad to be shown on specific handsets. This greatly increases the cost and complexity of running mobile ad campaigns. A system that would automatically understand the capabilities of a user’s handset and adjust the advertising content accordingly could greatly simplify matters.
Framework utilizes “intelligent content adaptation” to deliver optimized services to any mobile device. The Volantis Device Database supports over 4400 devices, and up to 653 attributes on each. Updates to the service are provided as new devices are released to market.
