Political Polling Goes Mobile

democrat_republican.gifMobile advertising and search company JumpTap has partnered with polling experts Zogby International to run a mobile based political survey in the U.S. ahead of the presidential election on November 4th. Mobile represents a new channel for polling, perhaps giving access voters who are otherwise hard to reach.

Over the past few months we have seen various new ways that mobile phone has been changing the US election process:

• a mobile web site from candidate Barack Obama,

•the announcement of vice presidential candidate by text message,

• and even the first mobile political boxing game
